Danny was back in Poland last Sunday (21st August) for a rare Polish Division One appearance for Grudziadz at Bydgoszcz but it didn’t turn out to be a happy re-union as he was on the end of a stinging 67-23 defeat in front of 4,000 fans.
Danny managed three points from his four rides in a performance where only Krzysztof Buczkowski came out of it with any credit for Grudziadz with nine points from his five rides. That said the powerful side that Bydgoszcz put out contained the might of SGP star and Coventry Bees rider Emil Sayfutdinov so it was always going to be a stern test on the day and that proved to be the case.
