It finally came together for Danny King in 2011 and what a time for it to happen in this important Grand Prix Qualifier in Esbjerg, Denmark on Friday evening (17th June).

The main focus was of course on qualification and Danny achieved that with some ease, but on the night a win in his last ride would have given him top spot on the rostrum. A poor start in his fifth ride however denied him that honour but there is no doubting that this was a huge improvement from Danny on new engines he received prior to the meeting.

This was Danny back to his best and on this form, and on equipment capable of taking him there, the GP Challenge Final is well within the Silkolene sponsored racer’s capabilities. Heat wins over such established riders as Rory Schlein, Bjarne Pedersen and Grzegorz Walasek will do nothing but boost his confidence which had been flagging a little of late.

There is no reason not to believe anymore though and Danny will go into his Semi-Final on Saturday 2nd July in Lonigo, Italy in high spirits.
