Danny, last night, admitted that the track in the second half of the meeting did not help the Ipswich Witches retain home advantage.

Ipswich lost to the Elite League leaders 42-48 last night in a tightly contested meeting, which many fans believed should have been a victory for the Witches.

Danny started his night with 2 straight wins and was on a high as the interval approached:

"Every week it's the same.  We ask them not to spend the interval grading the track and every week that's exactly what they do.  The trouble is that this means the dirt that is still on the track is spread around so thinly the track becomes slick and its difficult for a rider to find the grip needed to push them to the front."

However, Danny is quick to say that not all the blame should be laid at the track preparation and maintenance;

"Too many of riders last night made mistakes and when you are up against the top side in the league you just can't afford to make those mistakes.  We have just a few meetings remaining now to ensure we finish the season in a respectable position."
